There are many sought-after experts in Europe. A new map shows where they are at home.

Berlin Where in Europe are you most likely to meet an AI engineer, financial expert or robot technician? The lack of skilled workers is just as important to start-ups as it is to any other company. Especially since they often cannot offer the security and salaries such as Dax companies. That’s why they are recruiting experts with flexible working hours, the opportunity for hybrid work and low hierarchies.
The US venture capitalist Sequoia has determined where in Europe which talents can be found. “We want to help start-ups to fill vacancies more quickly and possibly also to look for them in more unusual places,” Zoe Jervier Hewitt told the Handelsblatt. She is responsible for finding talent at Sequoia in Europe and also helps the venture capitalist’s portfolio companies such as e-scooter provider Bolt, fintech Trade Republic and software company Xentral. Even the most recent job cuts at start-ups would not have changed the fact that there is still a strong search for skilled workers.
