In the first sequence, without serving as a precedent, John Wick chases several hit men on horseback through the Arabian desert. The images are preceded by a beautiful ellipsis borrowed from ‘Lawrence of Arabia’, which goes from the flame of a match going out to sunrise in the desert.

Co-director of the first and sole author of the other three installments of the Wick saga, Chad Stahelski continues filming the generous action scenes with identical choreographic physicalityshootings and hand-to-hand fights, crowned with one or more point-blank shots, which have given a hallmark to what is possibly the best action series in contemporary cinema. And, as in the previous ones, it does not overload the plot with transcendental meditations on the condition of this excommunicated and persecuted murderer.or all the mercenaries of the organization known as High Table. Stahelski cuts to the chase, only in this case he’s taken more time. A good use of time. ‘John Wick 4’ lasts almost three hours, but they pass just as smoothly as in the previous ones.
Keanu Reeves, who has doubled as the surly, ‘Melvillian’ hero of the new thriller and archaic hero in the equally violent comic book series he created and scripted, ‘BRZRKR’, works with the same precision as the hourglass that At the beginning he marks the time that he and the consultant of one of the organization’s hotels have left. Once the sand falls, the story acquires the dizzying speed of cruising without pause or fainting. An empty, synthetic, epidermal story and still just as fascinating.
