The standard version is available free of charge. In February, OpenAI also launched a payment model that is also available in Germany. Billing is in dollars, so the euro price fluctuates depending on the exchange rate. Cost: $20 per month.

  Paid customers get guaranteed and better access – in the past the free application was not always available due to congestion. OpenAI also announced a subscription model for business customers for the coming months. The data entered is not used to train the AI ​​with the “ChatGPT Business Subscription”, and you should also have better control “in the management of the end customer”.

• The technology can also be used via the Bing search engine. Microsoft’s service uses GPT-4, the language model underlying ChatGPT. With a search command, the AI ​​responds with the words “Hello, I’m Bing, your AI-controlled co-pilot for the web.” With a click, the user is forwarded to a chat field. Instead of a list of links, you now get complete answers. The group soon wants to expand the office applications with AI-supported assistants.

How can the AI ​​be used?

The AI ​​can be used in the same way in German and English. Basically, the functions are the same. ChatGPT adapts the language of its answers to the users. To get German answers, the question should be formulated in German – to get English answers in English.

• Blu Analytics helps with research and extraction of large amounts of data. The German AI company evaluates financial news in real time, forecasts its consequences for the financial markets and supports investment decisions.
• There are also smaller German companies that offer text generators, such as Neuroflash. The Hamburg-based company promises to generate five text suggestions on a specific topic in five seconds. The application can be used for translations, summaries and keyword research, among other things.

• An example of a programming wizard is Starcoder. The US company masters more than 80 programming languages ​​with its language model. What is special here is the ability to capture large amounts of code faster and more efficiently. Access is free.
