‘Company’ has been the winning show of the first edition of the talia awards of the Academy of Performing Arts of Spain, at a gala that was held this Monday at the Teatro Español in Madrid. ‘Company’ started as a favorite with five nominations and has taken home three: best musical direction for Arturo Díez Boscovich; best musical theater show for the production of the Teatro del Soho and best musical theater actor for Antonio Banderas.
The work ‘The Holy Innocents’ by Miguel Delibes, adapted by Fernando Marís and Javier Hernández-Simón, has been awarded the Talía award for Best Theater Show; while Laila Ripoll Talía has been awarded for best stage direction for ‘Tea Rooms’, the only one of the three that was nominated.
