The Day of Sant Jordi in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelonès) is part of the popular ‘Spring Festivals‘, which take place from April 20 to 23. From the L’Hospitalet City Council they point out that the day will feature the traditional book and flower stalls that will be displayed in the boulevard of Just Oliveras.
There, the authors from L’Hospitalet will sign copies of their books at the Libraries ‘stand’ throughout the day.
In addition, starting at 11 a.m., the Meeting of Knights, Dragons and Princesseswith various children’s shows in the gardens of Can Sumarro.
This same day will take place meeting of giants, with the plant in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento from 9.30 am and the parade to the Parque de la Remunta. The day will offer other traditional activities such as the dance of sardanes in the Plaza del Repartidor, at 11:30 a.m., and the ‘castellera’ event starting at 12:15 p.m. in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

Later, at night, this same square will host the ‘nit de foc‘, where the groups of devils from L’Hospitalet will be in charge of closing the events of this year’s ‘Spring Festival’, filling the streets with sparks of fire to the beat of the drums.
The day will culminate with the final explosion and the Fireworks from 10:15 p.m. in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
